Lura R. Seavey Bio
Having spent her youth accompanying her parents on their own professional travel-writing adventures, Lura developed a love for travel at a very early age. Today, Lura continues the tradition by exploring the world with her own children and sharing her enthusiasm and experiences with readers. A New England native, Lura has written and contributed to several travel guides which focus on the area.
Lura's favorite place to travel to is Europe, especially Switzerland where she first visited at only 12 years old. Lura has written about Switzerland for Michelin Guides and Scholastic's "Enchantment of the World" series. Through this series of social studies books, she is able to help foster in younger readers a curiosity and interest in places all over the world, including the Dominican Republic, Spain, Czech Republic, Nigeria, and Ethiopia. She also writes for JaxFax travel marketing magazine and is also a prolific ghostwriter.
